This is the third in a series of paintings inspired by the story of Rip Van Winkle. If I had more time, I would have added more shadows and highlights but I had a show deadline. Maybe I’ll Photoshop it later.

Oh Man do I like this.  The serene expression on him is great, and I love how the beard is handled - almost like it’s a paper cut-out over his face.  Foliage is great too.  love it.
